Happy Birthday Bunny Card

This charming bunny in a basket is from an old Stampin Up Set titled: "Serene Spring." The layers are Nesties Label Four and Cuttlebug embossing folder Swiss Dots. A pink thread bow is added at the top. The sentiment was printed on my computer. The card stock colors above are mauve, liliac and gray. These cards were stamped with Memento black ink and colored with watercolor pencils and crayons and a water pen. Thank You for stopping by!

This next card was embossed with Versamark ink and Dog Gone Brown embossing powder from SparkleNSprinkle.

Here are a couple of cards using old sets from Stampin Up. (Little Shapes and Friendly Flowers) I used the Little Shapes set to stamp the backgrounds and then used Friendly Flowers to stamp and diecut (Nesties Large Circle) the other images. These are quick and simple geometric cards. Thanks for stopping by!

Tea Bag Fold Birthday Card

There is something very relaxing about Tea Bag Folding and after last night's storm, I thought I would take a little break and do some more Tea Bag Folding. This birthday card (red, white, blue) might be good for June or July or even winter. The sentiment is from SparkleNSprinkle. The tea bag tile was printed ages ago from http://circleofcrafters.com. However, I cannot get a connection to their server any longer. There is a Cuttlebug snowflake layer, a light blue textured CS layer with a border punch and the medallion. Foam dots raise the sentiment. Thanks for stopping by!

Flower Basket Card from Clear Dollar Digital Images

I wanted to try the digital images concept, and Clear Dollar Stamps was offering a free digital image. I downloaded, saved and printed this pretty Flower Basket. I was wondering how to color the digital images since I have a regular HP Printer with regular ink. I hoped the printer ink would not smudge or bleed into the image when I colored it. To be safe, I let it "dry" or "set" overnight. I used markers and colored pencils with Gamsol to color it. No smudges! The layering papers were re-purposed CS from an advertisement I got in the mail! (Recycling Rosie, that's me!) This is something new to me and I can see how it has a place in the paper crafting world. Next I am going to try watercolor pencils in coloring this image. Thank You Clear Dollar Stamps for my free image. Thank YOU for stopping by!

Pink Tea Bag Fold Easel Card

This cute little easel card is one I taught yesterday afternoon. It is created using four tea bag fold pieces using the "Multi-Petal Flower" pattern. Usually eight folded pieces are used, but I like this effect of using only four folded pieces. There is a brad in the middle of the medallion and a button is adhered with a glue dot to hold the easel upright. I did a bit of paper piercing on the bottom corners. The top features a border punch for interest. I printed the tiles from
http://members.fortunecity.co.uk/msvicr/. ( MsVic's Tea-Bag Folding Tiles.) If you have not yet been there to get your beautiful and free tea bag tiles, please grab a snack and go there. It is a great site and there are loads of tiles you can print for free. BTW, I just mailed in 100 cards to the Foster Kids Birthday Buddy Program. I have 50 more to complete for this goal. Thanks for stopping by!

FUNNY FACE BIRTHDAY CARDS

I enjoyed making these 20 cards for the Foster Kids. The eyes were a lot of fun to play with. I used punches from Stampin Up and Martha Stewart. I got the idea from a Thank You note I received from my girlfriend, Juanita. So, of course, I had to try it myself! I hope the Kids like it!

Frog Blog!

FROG BLOG! Today I finished twenty of these Birthday Cards for the Foster Kids. I hope the kids like them! The "hOppy birthday"sentiment has an eyelet for the "O" in hoppy. The googley eyes are adhered with tiny glue dots. There is a lady bug and a little lizard in the grass. A blue bird punch out, is in the sky along with a balloon and a string. I used a Nesties diecut large scallop rectangle for the main image and stampin up oval scallop punch for the sentiment. The BG is sponged with green and blue inks. I used colored pencils and Gamsol to color. I have 75 cards completed so far. My goal is 150!

Birthday Cards For Boys!

Today I worked on my project of making Birthday Cards For Boys as mentioned in previous posts. These are simple and easy to make and need no explaining. The dog stamps are from SparkleNSprinkle. The baseball stamps are clear acrylic from Michael's and the bicycle image is from Stampin Up. The Happy Birthday paper punch is from Martha Stewart. I have 28 cards done and many more to go. Thank You for stopping by. More to come!

Birthday Cards For Boys

I started my project today to make at least 150 birthday cards for the Foster Children in my county. I volunteered to make birthday cards for the boys, all ages. My sister is working on the girls' cards. The "Birthday Buddies Program" from The Heart Gallery of Tampa Bay ensures that each Foster Child receives a birthday card and gift on their birthday. Folks choose a card from the Birthday Buddy Tree. We make the handmade cards with a ribbon attached, to hang on the tree. The child's photo, name, age and gift request is on the back of the card. People choose a card from the tree, buy a gift, write a note on the card and return the gift with the card attached. The Foster child receives the gift and handmade card on his/her birthday. So far it has raised $12,000.00 in gifts! Because of the volume needed, all year long, the cards are simple styles and easy to make. I usually make about 20 of a similar design. We make cards all year long and hope to continue for many years to come! We also make Valentine Cards, Graduation Cards, Adoption Cards and Christmas Cards. I enjoy making all these cards so much and now you know why this blog is called: "RubberStampRosie's CARD FACTORY!" Here's a sampling of what I made so far. Thank You for stopping by. More to come!

These three cards are so similar that I decided to post them together! They are made with Stampin Up die cut flowers (layered) and Cuttlebug embossing folders. I am using up as much paper from my stash as I can. The last one is my favorite. These diecuts are so big, I really did not know what to do with them!
Today I got a new "Assignment" or "Project" as I like to call it. My sister and I make cards for the Foster Children in our county here in Florida. (Birthday, Christmas, Graduation, Happy Adoption) The administrators are going to have an event to get birthday gifts donated for the Foster Children. (It works like the "Christmas Angel Tree.") They would like us to make as many birthday cards as we can, to hang on their trees. Then good folks will choose a birthday card from the tree. Each card will have the foster child's name, age and desired gift on the back of the card. Folks choose the card, buy the gift and return the card and gift to the center where it is distributed to the child on their birthday. I said I would do 100 cards to start. I'll post some here. It will motivate me to get moving! I love projects like this!
Thank You for stopping by. More to come!
Unfortunately, I needed a sympathy card for a friend whose dad passed away. This set from SparkleNSprinkle has some lovely sympathy sentiments. I used large scallop rectangle nesties along with a Fiskars corner punch for the layers. The BG images are also from SparkleNSprinkle. I made a similar card below, but used cuttlebug Embossing folders for the layers. Hope to have something more cheerful tomorrow! Thanks for stopping by. More to come!

You know this Spring Chick means business when she says, "CLUCK UP YOUR HEELS!" Just look at those heels. Scary! Reminds me of a time long ago when I had a similar pair in black patent leather. What was I thinking? (I wasn't thinking.) This unforgettable image is from Art Impressions. I colored the image with markers and the BG is inked with a dauber and ink pad. This is another birthday card for April. The inside sentiment is below! Happy Easter to all you Spring Chicks!

You have got to love this little Bunny from Stampin Up. He is embossed with brown ink and Clear Detail Embossing Powder from SparkleNSprinkle. The diecut layers and flower are Nestabilities. I colored him with watercolor pencils and a water pen. Happy Easter. We are warming up here in FL.
