Hello again!
It has been a long time since I added anything here.  My excuses are simple: Words With Friends, dog with allergies, holidays!  I did get some Christmas cards made and sent.  This is an example.  She is an old favorite image and colored with Copics. Obviously I am not an expert with my Copics, but they certainly are fun and surprising to use.  I like to experiment!

Birthday Card

This is a birthday card created for my brother-in-law.  He is a dog lover from way back.  He has owned dogs from a Great Dane to a Maltese and many in between!

Handcrafted Shaker Bench

These two photos are of a Christmas present from my brother.  He created two of these pieces.  One for my sister and her husband, and one for me.  It is called a SHAKER BENCH.  He had a pattern and used recycled wood. (maple, red oak, oak and birch) I love it.  It measures about 2' X 3'. It is perfection and I am so grateful for this timeless, cherished gift!

Wishing you a
HEALTHY, HAPPY NEW YEAR!

It has been a while since I added anything here.  I have been making a lot of cards and jewelry and sending it all off.  I should have taken more photos and shared them here, as you all have shared so much with me. I thank you for your Blogs and YouTube Videos. They inspire me, teach me and motivate me to learn and do more.
This is one of my clean and simple cards.  The image is "I Give You My Heart" 2003 from Stampabilities. (Made in the USA!) It is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics.  This will be sent to a very loving couple.  It is a pleasure to make a card for them.

EASY EASTER CARDS ...Part Two

Here are the rest of my EASY EASTER Cards. They were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored with Copics or colored pencils, layered and have a little fabric here and there.  These will mail easily and I do hope they will bring a smile to the recipients.
Above is an easel card measuring 4" square.

 Another easel card.

Hope you have a lovely Easter,
filled with family, friends, fun
and lots of delicious food...and of course chocolate!

Valentine Card 2012 Iris Folding: No pattern, No Twist!

I love the look of Iris Folding but don't always want to follow a pattern.  A while ago I came across this technique that looks like Iris Folding but it has no pattern and no twist.  I decided to try it with a heart shape that I cut out with a Spellbinders plain and then a scalloped heart.  I folded 1" X 3" strips of used Christmas gift wrap paper in half. I started at the bottom of the heart and taped the strips to the back of the heart, straight across and worked my way up to the top.  The folded edge of each strip was always toward the top of the card.  As in regular Iris Folding, the back looks messy and is a little bulky, but it looks nice when you turn it over and see your finished project.

It is best to use thin paper for the folded strips rather than card stock. I plan on using this technique to make four leaf clover St. Pat's Day cards using my Sizzix clover die cut and green designer paper for the strips. For Easter cards I want to use my Sizzix Easter egg die, to cut out a few Easter eggs and then use a variety of designer paper scraps in pastels to fill in.  This is a great way to use scraps!  Hope you give it a try.  Thanks for stopping by. More to come.
