150 HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARDS COMPLETED!

Here are the last of the 150 Happy Birthday Cards with a sport theme! I had set this as a goal for the Foster Kids in my county. It took a while and I am satisfied that I completed this task. I have to decide what cards I want to work on next. We have an ongoing request for Birthday, Graduation, Adoption, Valentine and Christmas Cards. After all of the sporty cards, I think I would like to make something girly. But, FIRST, I must clean my studio. Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day! More to come!

SPORTY BIRTHDAY CARDS

This weekend I completed twenty of these Happy Birthday Cards with a SPORTY theme for the Foster Kids in my county. They will be added to the "Giving Tree" and hopefully kind folks will choose a card, add a personal note and buy a gift or donate money towards a gift for that child. So far, so GOOD! FUNNY FACE BIRTHDAY CARDS

I enjoyed making these 20 cards for the Foster Kids. The eyes were a lot of fun to play with. I used punches from Stampin Up and Martha Stewart. I got the idea from a Thank You note I received from my girlfriend, Juanita. So, of course, I had to try it myself! I hope the Kids like it!

Frog Blog!

FROG BLOG! Today I finished twenty of these Birthday Cards for the Foster Kids. I hope the kids like them! The "hOppy birthday"sentiment has an eyelet for the "O" in hoppy. The googley eyes are adhered with tiny glue dots. There is a lady bug and a little lizard in the grass. A blue bird punch out, is in the sky along with a balloon and a string. I used a Nesties diecut large scallop rectangle for the main image and stampin up oval scallop punch for the sentiment. The BG is sponged with green and blue inks. I used colored pencils and Gamsol to color. I have 75 cards completed so far. My goal is 150!

Happy Face Birthday Cards For Kids!

Today I made sixteen of these Birthday Cards for the Foster Children Project. This is a retired Stampin Up set. They were simple and I have been able to use a lot of scraps. The punch at the top is Martha Stewart. Thank You for stopping by. More to come!

Birthday Cards For Boys!

Today I worked on my project of making Birthday Cards For Boys as mentioned in previous posts. These are simple and easy to make and need no explaining. The dog stamps are from SparkleNSprinkle. The baseball stamps are clear acrylic from Michael's and the bicycle image is from Stampin Up. The Happy Birthday paper punch is from Martha Stewart. I have 28 cards done and many more to go. Birthday Cards For Boys

I started my project today to make at least 150 birthday cards for the Foster Children in my county. I volunteered to make birthday cards for the boys, all ages. My sister is working on the girls' cards. The "Birthday Buddies Program" from The Heart Gallery of Tampa Bay ensures that each Foster Child receives a birthday card and gift on their birthday. Folks choose a card from the Birthday Buddy Tree. We make the handmade cards with a ribbon attached, to hang on the tree. The child's photo, name, age and gift request is on the back of the card. People choose a card from the tree, buy a gift, write a note on the card and return the gift with the card attached. The Foster child receives the gift and handmade card on his/her birthday. So far it has raised $12,000.00 in gifts! Because of the volume needed, all year long, the cards are simple styles and easy to make. I usually make about 20 of a similar design. We make cards all year long and hope to continue for many years to come! We also make Valentine Cards, Graduation Cards, Adoption Cards and Christmas Cards.
